FRANKFORT, Kentucky, June 15 -- The Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet issued the following news: Congratulations to Kentucky drinking water treatment facilities that achieved performance standards of the Area-Wide Optimization Program (AWOP) in 2023. This multi-state initiative is administered through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to facilitate drinking water systems that voluntarily achieved optimization goals more stringent than those required. Drinking water systems utilize more PR
